UE-treated or untreated normal human fibroblasts intoxicated with colchicine or with partially inactivated colchicine

(A,B) show the effects of inactivated colchicine applied on fibroblasts.

(A) shows fibroblasts that received many UE transfers during the entire time of the experiment. These cells demonstrated minor signs of intoxication when inactivated colchicine was applied on them.

(B) shows the effects of inactivated colchicine on untreated fibroblasts that were partially affected. After colchicine inactivation, only about 40% active toxicity remained.

(C,D) represent the effects of native colchicine on fibroblasts. When native colchicine was applied on untreated cells (D) most cells were intoxicated (90%). When cells were treated with UE (C), their resistance was greater and the toxic effects were 50% less than on the untreated cells. This study demonstrates that the best protective effect on normal cells occurs when both cells and the toxic product (to inactivate it before application) are treated.

Effects of UE on human cancer cell intoxication

Cells were stained by H+E for this study.

In this experiment, toxic doses of a strong detergent were used. (A) cells were treated with UE. (B) cells did not receive any UE treatment. These results demonstrate the "intelligent" effects of UE on cancer cells in helping the applied product to intoxicate and eliminate them. These results are very interesting and show how UE had a completely opposite effect on cancer cells compared to normal cells, though always acting along the same lines, namely by preserving and improving normal healthy cells and eliminating cancer cells (intelligent action).

Effects of UE on cancer cells alone without the application of colchicine (control wells)

Cells were stained by H+E for this study.

UE-treated wells (A) show a clear effect of UE on cancer cell elimination. It is evident that the cancer cells (B) which did not receive any UE treatment continued to proliferate and grow.

Effects of UE on human cancer cell intoxication with colchicine in doses of 1X (A,B) and 5X (C,D)

Cells were stained by H+E for this study.

When UE-treated cancer cells received 1X colchicine, 95% of them were eliminated (A). When cells not treated with UE received the same dose, only 50% were eliminated (B). For a dose of 5X, when UE treatment was added, it resulted in a 100% elimination of cells (C), while without UE, colchicine alone, even at this dose, eliminated only about 70% of the cells (D). This study demonstrates the irrefutable advantage of combining both treatments (antimitotic plus UE) against cancer cells.
