Effects of UE on wound healing and fungal infection, H+E stainined sections
The 2 RHEs were similarly exposed to the fungal infection.
(A) is a d17 wounded and UE-treated RHE, we see there is normal, well-organized healing tissue, with no signs of fungal infection.
(B) is a d17 wounded, infected and untreated RHE. The fungal infection totally invaded the tissue, which completely lost its structure and degenerated.
These results show UE's double effects on enhancing wound healing and fighting fungal infection.

Toxic doses of a detergent were applied on both RHEs. (A) shows the UE-treated RHE. Despite the application of the toxic agent, the RHE preserved some of its structure. The untreated RHE (B) shows total intoxication by the toxic agent.
